Tonight, President Obama will deliver his State of the Union address, an opportunity for him to share with Congress and the American people his vision and his priorities for the nation.
America is slowly emerging from a deep recession and part of the President’s message will surely be about getting the economy back on track.
In addition to important short-term measures, what will the President say about our long-term economic and fiscal future?
A plan to put our fiscal house in order once the economy is back on track would help to ensure that we have the resources to make critical investments in economic growth for years to come. It would also add confidence to our current recovery — confidence that will help to get America growing, hiring, and investing again.
President Obama is likely to address many issues tonight — including taxes, defense spending, education, research, health care, and more. Watch the State of the Union LIVE and let us know what you think.
