2011 Fiscal Summit: Solutions for America’s Future
On May 25, the Peter G. Peterson Foundation hosted the 2011 Fiscal Summit: Solutions for America’s Future, featuring President Bill Clinton, Democratic and Republican leaders, senior White House officials, and economic policy experts. This unique group of leaders shared their views on how to strengthen America’s fiscal and economic future and discussed specific deficit-reduction plans from a diverse group of policy organizations.
The six fiscal plans were developed through the Foundation’s Solutions Initiative, an effort designed to gather voices from across the political and generational spectrum on how to address America's long term fiscal challenges. By convening leaders from across the ideological spectrum to discuss concrete budget plans, the Summit was an important step in working toward bipartisan fiscal solutions that help preserve the American Dream for future generations.
