Grant Applications
The Online Application Process
Potential applicants are encouraged to research the Peter G. Peterson Foundation for examples of the kinds of initiatives and programs that the Foundation seeks to support, and review both the guiding principles and eligibility requirements. The Foundation does not distribute requests for proposals, but invites organizations wishing to submit unsolicited grant concepts to complete an Initial Inquiry Form and submit it online through this link.
Initial inquiries are accepted at any time during the year. The process helps applying organizations better utilize their valuable time and resources before submitting a full application, and allows the Foundation to concentrate its efforts on initiatives that are most relevant to the priorities it has established.
In the event that your proposal is of interest to the Foundation, you will be contacted by our staff and asked to submit a Full Grant Application Form. You will be provided with a username and password for access to this application.
Due to the high volume of submissions, initial inquiries will be acknowledged with a computerized response upon their receipt, but only those organizations selected to participate in the full application phase of the grant-making process will be contacted directly by Foundation staff. All others will receive a letter of declination.
Please do not call the Foundation for the status of your initial inquiry. Videotapes and other supplemental materials are not accepted at this initial stage.
