Strategic Agility Assessment of President's FY2015 Defense Budget
Mar 19, 2014
A new report from the Stimson Center compares the policies proposed in the President’s Fiscal Year 2015 budget proposal to the 27 specific defense recommendations put forth last year by the Defense Advisory Committee (DAC). The report finds that the President's proposal fully incorporates 12 of the DAC's 27 recommendations and partially incorporates another nine.
The recommendations of the 17-member DAC (a panel of former high-ranking military officers, former national security policymakers, and distinguished academics) were originally published in a report titled Strategic Agility. The work was supported by a grant from the Peter G. Peterson Foundation.
