Peterson Foundation Statement on the Passing of Alice Rivlin

NEW YORK — Michael A. Peterson, CEO of the Peter G. Peterson Foundation, issued the following statement today on the passing of Alice Rivlin:

As the Founding Director of the Congressional Budget Office, Alice was instrumental in establishing one of the most important policy institutions in our nation’s history. She established the CBO as a critical element of truthful policymaking and fact-based analysis. Alice’s commitment to our long-term future and the example she set for responsible policymaking will endure as a lasting legacy. Her gracious spirit and many talents will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.”
